We woke before 8 am the next day (which is about 9 am in Japan), freshened up and went for breakfast at the nearest Komeda Coffee just 5 mins walk away.

There’s “morning service” before 11 am. This is a special breakfast culture in Nagoya, where if you order a drink in the morning, it comes with free bread or boiled egg etc depending on the cafe.

The cafe was pretty full on Sunday morning.

We ordered both the egg salad and sweet adzuki bean paste set with an extra boiled egg and salad but the staff made a mistake and gave us two eggs instead lol~ We managed to switch it back but I forgot to take a picture of the red bean paste.

It’s a simple but delicious breakfast! Total costs us 1240 yen which was about SG$16.

Next up, shopping!

Though to be honest, it’s mostly window shopping cos everything is too expensive, lol~

I find the rainbow brushes and sailor moon items really interesting, keke~

After 3 hours, we headed for lunch at the famous miso katsu restaurant, Yabaton Yabacho Honten.

You can’t miss it cos the pig on the building is really striking, lol~ We were seated on the ground floor after queuing for about 10 mins.

K ordered the miso katsu don (¥1296) and I got the miso katsu hotplate (¥1836). I thought the miso looked a bit overkill but but never judge a book by it’s cover cos both were ABSOLUTELY HEAVELY! It’s sweet and salty and the katsu tender and juicy. You MUST try this dish when in Nagoya!

After lunch we returned to Parco for some dessert, but I’m sidetracked, as always, lol~

Dessert time at La Maison!

I was attracted by the pretty looking cakes while shopping just now.

It’s actually a tart and tasted pretty nice! The cake, hot tea and lemonade cost ¥626.

We took the time to rest our tired feet and chatted, which is always one of my favourite parts of our travelling trips- to catch up with each other as couples. 🙂

After shopping for another 2 hours, we went for dinner at Pompompurin cafe just next to Parco as it’s gonna close for the day soon.

And you know what?

We were the only customers there!

I think it’s cos we went near the closing time and the restaurant isn’t as popular thus we had the whole cafe to ourselves!

Look at the decor!

The plush toys are expensive after the poor currency conversion though (we went when the conversion rate was at 1:80).

The food was decent enough and I also bought 2 Gudetama chopsticks holders and a cup back~ Heh~
